Step 1: Login to Moodle, click on WRITING-INTERVENTIONS course and view what you would like in your course.

Step 2: You will need to scroll to the bottom of the course to Topic 16/Overview, this way when you import into your course, it will import at the very bottom into your Topic 16, most courses I have found do not go past topic 14. This way you will be able to easily find and move to where you would like the lessons. Everything is hidden in the course as well, so when you do import it, student will not have access to it until you make it available to them.

Step 3: Go to your course that you wish to import the Writing Interventions lesson in and at the top right click on the Gear icon and select Import

Step 4: Locate the Writing Interventions from the list of courses, if the list is too long and you do not see it type "interventions" in the search box at the bottom. Select it and click Continue

Step 5: Here you will have two separate options.

  1. Jump to final step- this will import everything into the course, sometimes this is easier to delete what you do not want out of the new course.
    1. If you chose Jump to final step - you are almost finished, you will see a Continue button when the import is complete. When you press continue it will take you to your course. You will find all of the content at the bottom starting at Topic 16.

  2. Next - this will allow you to pick and choose individual items to move to the new course.

If you chose "Next" please continue to follow the steps below.

Step 6: Depending on how much of the content you wish to import it may be easier and quicker to select None at the top of the screen, this will uncheck all the boxes and allow you to choose just the individual items.

Helpful hint, you must select have a check in the "Topic" to select items.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the content.

Step 7: You will need to place a check at the topic level then you will be able to select the individual items inside that topic.
