Rubric Templates - Select for Assignment

How to designate a rubric that was created as a template for an assignment

If you have created a grading rubric and would like to use it in other courses, please contact Ron Coller (collerr@kellogg.edu) and ask him to make the rubric a template. This is the only way that you will be able to use it in another course without having to re-create it for each assignment/course. 

Step 1: Login to your course and select the Assignment that you wish to use the rubric on.

Step 2: Click on the Gear icon at the top right and then select Advanced grading from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Change active grading method to Rubric, by using the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Using your mouse, click on the Create new grading form from a template

Step 5: There are two options for locating your Rubric template. 

  1. Enter the Name and click Search
  2. Scroll down the page and look. They're in alphabetical order.

Step 6: Once you have located your template, scroll to the bottom of the rubric and click on Use this template.

Step 7: Confirm by clicking on Continue, if you would like to use this template for this assignment. 

Options to edit the current rubric or to delete the form:
